The Herbivorous Butcher to Appear on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!
From the beginning, The Herbivorous Butcher, founded by siblings Kale and Aubry Walch, attracted attention from vegans as well as meat-eaters.
After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the shop experienced crowded line-ups during their opening weekend, and even compliments on their products by former host of The Daily Show Jon Stewart! Now, according to the website, The Herbivorous Butcher will appear on an episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, hosted by Guy Fieri! The website states:
“A couple months ago, we were approached by Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, and after many extensive phone conversations, we learned that we were selected for the show. It all happened very quickly, and we received a week’s notice for the first filming date, but we were up to the challenge.”
While the episode is set to air “sometime later this summer”, according to the post:
“Guy Fieri himself spent a couple hours at the shop filming with us and talking to guests. He said he loved the food and had only good things to say!”
The few episodes I have seen of the show usually entail Fieri munching on meat-packed fast food, so I am very excited to see him try-and enjoy, some plant-based options! Not only will it expose his fans to the incredible vegan options available these days, but as the post states, it will “only mean good things for The Herbivorous Butcher”!
*Update: The episode has been scheduled for Friday July 15 at 9pm CST!
