Cruelty Free Eco-Boutique Opens in Seattle!
Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood is home to the newest environmentally-friendly, animal-friendly, and worker-friendly boutique, named Drizzle & Shine. This weekend was the grand opening, a day that owner Jean White has been anticipating for some time. After 16 years of veganism and many years of fashion blogging her vision has finally become a reality.
Merchandise in the shop includes everything from accessories to beauty products, shoes to beautiful clothing items. The mission of Drizzle & Shine is to offer items that are vegan, fair trade, organic, local, USA-made, and/or recycled in one brick and mortar spot. It was important to White to have a place where people could touch and see the items firsthand. She explained to Capitol Hill City Blog,
“My experience is it’s really hard to find a place to look at these labels.”
And manufacturers of these responsible clothing items have a hard time finding shops to showcase their creations, so Drizzle & Shine is a blessing for both customers and producers. As well as offering fairly produced, vegan fashion White invites guests to host private parties, stylist consultations, and trunk shows at the location. Drizzle & Shine will quickly become a hot spot for eco-friendly shoppers and a destination for ethical fashionistas everywhere!
