A New Vegan Hardcore Band Has Formed with Some Familiar Members!

What happens when a bunch of straight edge vegans who love hardcore music get together? Sect. That’s the name of a new band that has just had its worldwide debut, with their first full album coming out on August 5.
The band includes many familiar names, featuring Andrew Hurley of Fall Out Boy on drums, vocalist Chris Colohan of Cursed and food company Vegan Magic, Ian Edwards of Earth Crisis on bass, and guitarists James Change and Scott Crouse. According to Vice’s Noisey:
“Sect rips and roars, chugs and stomps, and generally just %$#*ing shreds.”
While fans and fans-to-be must wait until next month for the full album to be released, many tracks are available now via SoundCloud, including Death Dealer, Scourge of Empire, and Sinking. According to the band:
“[There] is more reason than ever to keep lashing out at a world more suicidal bent on its own destruction and the exploitation of people, species and the ecosystem itself, than perhaps ever before in history.”
Check out some of the available tracks here and join the many impatiently waiting for the album release in August!
