Petition IHOP to Serve Vegan Pancakes!
The tide is turning and In Defense of Animals (IDA) wants to speed things along by imploring the International House of Pancakes to start serving a vegan flapjack! The campaign recognizes how ubiquitous IHOP restaurants are and how huge it would be to find more cruelty-free, plant-based options on the chain’s menu. With over 1,550 locations, vegan pancakes could truly reach the masses. The petition states:
“With a rapidly growing number of consumers choosing plant-based diets for ethical, environmental, and health reasons, it is an excellent time for IHOP to expand their menu to include vegan options.”
The franchise has also discussed its intent to have a better impact on the environment and IDA wants them to know that shifting away from animal products and toward healthier, more sustainable plant-based foods they can achieve their green mission.
