Vegan Chef Chloe Coscarelli Makes Forbes' 30 Under 30 List
There are plenty of familiar names in the Forbes 30 Under 30 2017: Food & Drink, and among them is vegan chef, cookbook author and restaurateur Chloe Coscarelli. Forbes staff writer Maggie McGrath describes the list as “the gastronomes who will change your diet in 2017” and states:
“The 30 young chefs, restaurateurs, food engineers and entrepreneurs who made the 2017 list are spearheading a new wave of clean eating — but they’re also churning out cakes, cookies and toffee that are well-worth a ruined diet.”
Considering Coscarelli’s ever-expanding by CHLOE. empire and the reviews of her restaurant by chef Michael Symon (and myself!), it should come as no surprise that she is featured on the list. Her featured profile reads:
“Coscarelli got her first taste of culinary success at the age of 23, when she became the first vegan chef to win the Food Network’s Cupcake Wars. She has parlayed that victory into a budding empire that now includes three cookbooks and an eponymous vegan restaurant concept called by CHLOE. The first location, which she opened in New York’s West Village in 2014, became so popular that she has since opened two more in NYC, a third in LA and expanded into sweets (“Sweets by Chloe“).”
We can’t wait to see what (delicious) surprises Coscarelli has in store for 2017! To view the full 30 Under 30 list, visit this link.
