Wendy Williams Features 21-Day Plant-Based Diet on Show [VIDEO]
Earlier this week, Wendy Williams invited Dr. Oz to The Wendy Williams Show to discuss his “21 Day Weight Loss Breakthrough” program. While the segment was predominately about a short-term plant-based diet being used to, as Williams stated, “jump-start” weight loss, it featured some fantastic samples of vegan breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and snacks. Dr. Oz stated:
“We’ve learned over the last year with some big studies and feedback from our audience members that if they could just cut down the amount of meat they eat, it makes a lot easier the path to weight loss.”
Dr. Oz showed viewers some samples of meals and snacks from the program, which included sprouted whole grain bread with avocado, a vegetable and bean stir-fry, spaghetti squash with tempeh and vegetables, and apples with nut butters, as well as fruits and berries as snacks. He emphasized the importance of incorporating plant-based protein sources into the meals, including beans, tofu, tempeh, and seeds including pumpkin, chia and hemp.
At the end of the segment, Dr. Oz exclaimed to Williams that she “looked pretty fit” and asked what diet she was on, to which she responded that she was on a plant-based diet. You can watch the entire segment here:
