Harry Potter’s Evanna Lynch Launches Vegan Podcast
UPDATE: In September, Evanna Lynch let fans know that episodes of her vegan podcast, The ChickPeeps, were in the process of being recorded. Now, the podcast has officially been launched with two episodes (an intro and a full-length one), with a post on the Instagram page stating:
“Happy ChickPeeps Day! 🌻The first two episodes are now live on our website, which is in the link in our bio. You can listen and download from there. (Scroll down because episode 0 is the actual first one!!) The podcast is not yet available on iTunes or other podcatching sites but will be within the coming week and we’ll let you know when they are! We’re finding our feet with this so please have patience with us. We love you, our very first listeners and are excited for this journey! 💚”
You can tune in to both episodes right here.

Evanna Lynch, best known for her role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter series, is vocal about being an animal rights activist and a vegan, and stated last year that “killing and eating animals is a betrayal of our own core humanity…killing an innocent goes against our nature.” In a recent interview with The Leaky Cauldron, Lynch has confirmed that a vegan podcast is in the works and when asked about it, stated:
“Yes! I do have names, but I’m told they’re all too girly. I need to try to have a more neutral name. I’m still looking for a cohost so we’ll see how that works out, but I’m starting to blog about veganism because I feel like there are so many people who are interested. It’s not quite mainstream yet but it’s getting there.”
She added that it’s important to appeal to people who are curious about a plant-based lifestyle but who may feel apprehensive about making the change:
“There are so many people who say “I want to but I don’t know how” or feel they’re too lazy, so I just want to talk about that. You don’t have to be a big foodie or a big animal lover. There are ways you can make little changes. It’s hard to get people to care about animals without having to dress it up to be about being for their benefit. It does concern you if the planet is messed up, but to other people it’s far away so it’s less of a concern.”
We eagerly wait for more details-and to see what (neutral) name Lynch settles on!
