Globally Local Debuts Vegan Maple Crunch Breakfast Sandwich
London, Ontario-based Globally Local, considered “Canada’s first all-vegan fast food restaurant,” has debuted a new breakfast sandwich bound to make Canadians smile-the Maple Crunch.
While the rest of Globally Local’s menu items are mouth-watering (just check out some of the photos)-including the Famous Burger (a Big Mac-esque option), the Great Gyro, the Breakfast Benedict, and of course poutine, the new option is bound to be a hit based on its description alone:
“Words cannot describe how amazing our new Maple Crunch breakfast sandwich is and you’ll never believe it’s vegan! This delicious sandwich starts with a toasted plain or whole wheat English muffin, buttered and drizzled with pure maple syrup. We then add vegan cheese, your choice of bacUN or vegan ham, grilled tofu ‘egg’, all topped with a crispy hash brown.”
The sandwich sells for $4.99, and Globally Local can be found at 252 Dundas Street, open daily from 8am to 10pm.
