Kyrie Irving Promotes Plant-Based Diet in New Nike Commercial [VIDEO]
Various media outlets have highlighted NBA player Kyrie Irving’s plant-based lifestyle. Irving, who plays for the Boston Celtics, has also been very vocal about what a vegan diet has done for his game:
“It works. I mean, I’m not eating a whole bunch of animals anymore. Once you become awake, you don’t see that stuff anymore. I don’t plan on changing anything in my diet. It’s working out great so far.”
In a new commercial for Nike, the MVP candidate takes it to the next level-literally, by breaking the fourth wall and crediting his dribbling skills to a plant-based diet.
Near the end of the one-minute commercial promoting the Kyrie IV sneakers, Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots asks Irving how he performs the way he does after an impressive dribbling scene. Irving responds:
“Simple. Plant-based diet.”
Unfortunately, the shoes themselves are not vegan and contain suede.
